Doctor Pelton is still accepting medical wellness clients. Medical Wellness is defined as a holistic approach to movement to help people maintain strength and function through exercise. This program is very applicable for people who completed their PT program but need accountability to perform their home exercise program. This one on one attention is also appropriate for clients with complicated medical conditions who need to exercise but feel a personal trainer with a certificate only would not meet their complex health challenges.
This service is deemed not medically necessary and therefore insurance does not cover it. Well care is not a covered service by most insurance plans in the USA. Sometimes employers will subsidize wellness and we do accept HSA cards.
Our pricing is customizable and transparent. It's hard to sell but self paying for wellness is more beneficial for you than health insurance paying for sickness.
Age Well NC schedules one on one appointments and provides evidence-based treatments and hands-on manual therapy to help clients achieve optimal wellness.
We are mobile only and see patients in a 10 mile radius around downtown Hillsborough.
Meet Our Founder,
Dr. Sophia Pelton
The owner of Age Well NC, Sophia Pelton, is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and has 23 years of experience healing people of all ages. She has helped countless clients, ranging from young athletes to senior citizens get back to doing the things they love.
She has a passion for wellness and health and finds that patients heal more quickly and effectively when given the time, energy, and treatment their bodies require. She finds our current healthcare environment is often counterproductive to this, with practitioners forced to spend limited time spread across too many patients, with treatments provided dictated by insurance concerns.
She is also a board-certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) and is Dry Needling Double E Certified.
